I've found some good film sites for anybody interested if you want to know what's happening to some of those films that are in "development hell" like spiderman used to be in, or just general movie news. Here's the roundup:
- Want to see the latest film trailers for the blockbusters then head to Apple's site or Jurassic Punks site which actually lets you save the trailers as files.
- For news on the next big blockbuster try Ain't it cool or SuperHero Hypes sites both I would seriously recommend (need more be said then). Also take a gander at Greg's previews at the Yahoo Upcoming Movies site which has an archive on past development news for new flicks.
- To settle those arguments in the pub when you can't remember "what's his name who starred next to thingy, in that film?" Then head to the Internet Movie Database, to shove your mates face in it!
- I thought I would throw the link in for British movie magazine Empire Online, as its a bloody good read.
Films
Here are some sites that are either funny or scary (in the sense that there are people out there with enough time time on their hands to make these kinds of sites!) but you still have to ask yourself why?. Take a look:
- Wanna be a ninja? Well take a look at the guy in Real Ultimate Power and seriously reconsider your life...
- Learn to swear in another language at Insults.net so that now you can really piss off the French.
- Err....rate your poo.
- Ever think to yourself while watching a TV show that its run out of ideas and is just carrying on needlessly, well Jump the Shark looks at those small screen moments for all sorts of different television series.
- There's a great collection of modified pictures and animation's at B3TA.
Why?
Here are some sites that fall into the same, E/N - Everything/Nothing category that I guess this site falls under as well:
- Rotten is PHUCKING horrible, downright evil and disgusting....which is enough reason for you to check it out!
- If your a parent with kids at Uni, then take a look at Drunk at College to see what your paying for.
- eBaum's World has shit loads of that funny media stuff such as pics, games, jokes etc. All on a website with an Amish sounding name.
- College Humor I like. Why? Because its run by students, for students witch is the same purpose as this site...only done better.
- Dog Bomb is the first British E/N site that I've come across, and it does the job quite nicely. Recommended viewing are the rejected children's books.
- Beer and Sex is part of the E/N scene and is a grea site for one man to rant and rave. Also it has links to porn!!!!!
Utter Bollox
There's some sites out "there" on the web that actually set out to provide you with information, be it news or stuff you don't really need to know. But at least they try to put an interesting spin on things:
- The Onion is a quite well known site that parodies the news but sometimes has some revealing pieces.
- The Memory Hole releases news and information "THEY" don't want to know.
- Fark sifts the net for those interesting news pieces and brings them all on to one site, such as 'Spanish MPs fined for porn surfing during debate.'
- Plastic is just a combination of the above 3.
- The Smoking Gun brings secrets into the public light. Plus it has a killer page with police mugshots of the rich 'n' famous - check out Marilyn Manson without the Goth setup!
- Girls that are NEKKID present the news in live video streams...sure beats News at 10!
- Straight Dope isn't about your favorite form of weed, but a handy web resource for those questions that just have to be asked, like 'How many calories are in the average male ejaculation? '
